Bolger Chebacco 20
Kelani Rose is a 20 foot gaff rigged cat-yawl, award winning lapstrake version of Phil Bolger's Chebacco boats . She is planked with marine fir ply , sheerstrake is solid cherry . Masts are Douglas Fir and the spars are yellow cedar . All brightwork is American cherry . She has an unstayed mast which slides upright along the inner stem , through a mast slot in the cabintop , allowing for easy launching ; from launch to sailing is about 15 minutes . She draws a foot of water with the centreboard raised , and is ideal for gunkholing and beaching , perfect for our waters ! Kelani Rose has been stored on a trailer with bunks curved to match the hull , out of the weather ; she is in beautiful condition . With a 7 foot cockpit , there is plenty of room for daysailing guests , also lots of storage under the bunks , both in the cockpit and in the cuddy . Launched in May '99 , she went on to win the Best New Construction award at the Vancouver Wooden Boat Festival in Aug. '99 . Located in Sechelt B.C. , a quick ferry ride past Vancouver .
